Battle of the Brains, the only televised academic quiz show
for high schools in Central Virginia and Southeast Virginia,
draws from over 200 schools.
Teams take a fill-in-the-blank qualifying
general knowledge test to determine
which teams will compete in the
tournament. Based on the total score
of four students from each school,
teams are ranked and seeded. 2007 graduating
seniors are not eligible.
Each show consists of two Toss-Up
rounds and a
Category round.
The Central Virginia Regional Champion
and the
Southeast Virginia Regional Champion
will compete in a Championship Game
that
will be
televised in both regions.
